PHARMACEUTICAL FORM
Oral solution (Sol.o.)
Phenylpropanolamine 40mg/ml.
PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
The clinical effect of phenylpropanolamine in urinary incontinence is based on its ability to stimulate a-adrenergic receptors. This causes an increase, and a stabilization of the closure pressure in the urethra, which is mainly innervated by adrenergic nerves.
In dogs, the plasma half-life of phenylpropanolamine is approximately 3 hours, with maximum plasma concentration reaching approximately one hour after administration.
When the drug is administered to dogs in a fasted state, there is a significant increase in bioavailability.
Indications: AND TARGET SPECIES

Efficacy has been demonstrated only in ovariohysterectomized bitches.
