Composition:
Noroclav 250 mg Tablets contain 200 mg of amoxicillin (as amoxicillin trihydrate) and 50
mg clavulanic acid (as potassium clavulanate Ph. Eur.). Contains carmoisine (E122) as
excipient.
Noroclav 50 mg Tablets contain 40 mg amoxicillin (as amoxicillin trihydrate) and 10 mg
of clavulanic acid (as potassium clavulanate). Contains carmoisine (E122) as an excipient.
Indications and target species
Dogs: Treatment of the following infections caused by β-lactamase-producing strains
of bacteria sensitive to amoxicillin in combination with clavulanic acid:
• Skin infections (including superficial and deep pyodermas) caused by staphylococci.
susceptible.
• Urinary tract infections caused by staphylococci or Escherichia coli susceptible.
• Respiratory infections caused by susceptible staphylococci. enteritis caused by
Escherichia coli susceptible.
Contraindications
• Do not use in rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, or gerbils.
• Do not use in animals with known hypersensitivity to penicillins or other substances in the group
beta-lactam.
• Do not use in animals with severe renal dysfunction associated with anuria or oliguria.
• Do not use when resistance to this combination is known to exist.
Route of administration
Orally.
Posology
Noroclav 250mg Tablets:
Dose: 12,5 mg/kg bw twice a day (equivalent to one 250 mg tablet per 20 kg bw).
• Most cases respond with a therapy of 5 to 7 days.
• Chronic or refractory cases: in cases where there is considerable tissue damage, it will be
a longer duration is necessary to allow a sufficient period of time to repair the tissue
damaged.
Noroclav 50mg Tablets:
Dose: 12,5 mg/kg bw twice daily (equivalent to 250 mg tablet per 20 kg bw).
• Most cases respond with a therapy of 5 to 7 days.
