Composition per pipette:
0,25 ml (15 mg selamectin).
Pharmacological properties
Selamectin is a semisynthetic compound of the avermectin class. Selamectin paralyzes and/or
kills a wide variety of invertebrate parasites by interfering with the conductivity of the canal of the
chlorine, causing disruption of normal neurotransmission. This inhibits the electrical activity of
nerve cells in nematodes and muscle cells in arthropods producing them
paralysis and/or death.
Selamectin is absorbed from the skin, following topical administration. Once absorbed, selamectin
is distributed systemically and is slowly cleared from plasma as manifested in
detectable plasma concentrations in dogs and cats, 30 days after a single topical dose
of 6mg/kg. The systemic persistence of selamectin in plasma and the absence of a rapid
metabolism, provide effective concentrations of selamectin during the interval period
between doses (30 days).
Interactions and incompatibilities

Indications and target species
Cats y Dogs weighing 2,5 kg or less: Treatment and prevention of infestations
produced by fleas (Ctenocephalides spp.). Eliminates adults, eggs and larvae of fleas. Utilization
as part of the strategic treatment of flea allergy dermatitis. It can help control
from existing flea infestations in the environment in areas to which the animal has access.
Treatment of adult intestinal roundworms (Toxocara spp.). disease prevention
heartworm (Unforgiving heartworms). Biting Lice Treatment (Felicola
substratus (cats) and Canis Trichodectes (dogs). Treatment of ear mites (otodectes
cynotis).
Cats: Treatment of adult intestinal worms with hooks Ancylostoma tubaeforme).
Dogs: Treatment of sarcoptic mange (Sarcopts scabiei).
Contraindications
• Do not use in animals under 6 weeks of age.
• Do not use on sick cats or cats that are weak and thin (for their size and age).

Alopecia and transient local irritation that usually resolves spontaneously.
Route of administration
Administer topically to the skin, at the base of the neck in front of the shoulders.

Special precautions
Do not apply if the animal has wet hair.
