SYVAQUINOL® 25 INJECTABLE Antibacterial in injectable solution

Antibacterials Syvaquinol 100 mg/ml Injectable Solution is a veterinary medicine that is made up of the active principle Enrofloxacin. This substance is an antibacterial for systemic use, and it belongs to the group of fluoroquinolones. Its pharmacodynamic activity, when found at specific concentrations, is bactericidal. The spectrum of action of this active principle of which it is constituted Antibacterials Syvaquinol 100 mg/ml Injectable Solution reaches a wide range of pathogenic microorganisms, among which are the following:

• Gram negative bacteria:
  • Escherichia coli
  • Klebsiella spp.,
  • Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae,
  • Mannheimia haemolytica,
  • Pasteurella spp. (ex: Pasteurella multocida).
• Gram-positive bacteria: Staphylococcus (eg: Staphylococcus aureus).
• Mycoplasma spp.

Composition per ml:
Enrofloxacin 25 mg.
Indications and target species
Piglets: Pneumonia, bronchopneumonia, hemorrhagic septicemia, enzootic pneumonia, atrophic rhinitis, and colibacillosis.
Calves: Colibacillosis and omphalitis.
Dogs: Pneumonia, bronchitis, bacterial enteritis, metritis, nephritis and infected wounds.
Route of administration
Intramuscular or subcutaneous.
Posology
Piglets: 1 ml/10 kg bw/day, for 3 to 4 consecutive days, intramuscularly in the neck.
• Do not administer more than 2,5 ml per inoculation point.
Calves: 1 ml/10 kg bw/day, for 4 to 5 consecutive days, subcutaneously.
• Do not administer more than 5 ml per inoculation point.
Dogs: 2 ml/10 kg bw/day, for 5 consecutive days, subcutaneously.
• In chronic diseases and serious course, the duration of treatment can be extended up to 10 days.
Wait time
Meat: 12 days.
