INDICATIONS

Dogs: Scalibor Collar demonstrates:

Repellent effect (anti-feeding) for 12 months for sandflies (Phlebotomus perniciosus).

Repellent effect for 6 months against culicid mosquitoes of the Culex pipiens complex.

Scalibor Collar prevents from:

Tick ​​infestations for 6 months.

Flea infestations for 4 months.

• The repellent effect of Scalibor Collar has been demonstrated against Phlebotomus perniciosus, a vector for the transmission of Leishmania infantum. Therefore, Scalibor Collar can be considered as part of a program for the prevention of Leishmania infantum infection.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

• Do not use in cases of hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients.
• Do not use the collar on animals with extensive skin lesions.
• Do not use in animals under 7 weeks of age.
• Do not use in cats.

ADVERSE REACTIONS

• On rare occasions, local allergic reactions (pruritus, erythema, hair loss) involving the neck or general skin have been observed, which could indicate a local or general hypersensitivity reaction; gastrointestinal symptoms such as vomiting, diarrhea and hypersalivation; neuromuscular problems such as ataxia and muscle tremor.
• Behavioral disturbances (eg lethargy or hyperactivity), often associated with skin irritation, have also been reported rarely.
• Symptoms usually disappear within 48 hours after removal of the collar.
• Treatment should be symptomatic, since no specific antidote is known.

ROUTE OF ADMINISTRATION

External use.

POSOLOGY

Dogs: 1 collar/animal.

Adjust the collar, loosely, around the animal's neck. Cut the excess collar, leaving 5 cm behind the pin.

SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS

• The collar has demonstrated repellent efficacy (anti-feeding) for 12 months for sandflies (Phlebotomus perniciosus). However, the transmission of Leishmania infantum cannot be excluded.
• The collar begins to be effective one week after it is placed on the dog.
• Occasional contact with water does not reduce the effectiveness of the collar during the first 6 months. However, from 6 to 12 months the effectiveness in contact with water has not been demonstrated. The effect of shampooing on duration of efficacy has also not been evaluated.
• Although occasional contact with water does not reduce the effectiveness of the collar, it should always be removed before the dog swims or bathes, as the active substance is dangerous to fish and other aquatic organisms. Dogs should be prevented from swimming or bathing during the first 5 days of wearing the collar.
• Cases of hypersensitivity reactions have been reported in people who have been in contact with or around the collar, mainly of a local nature (such as erythema, inflammation, urticaria, pruritus, contact dermatitis and/or localized rash) and on occasion of a localized nature. systemic (such as tachycardia, laryngeal edema, erythematous rash, respiratory distress and/or tingling sensation in the throat, mouth and/or face).
• Follow these instructions: Wash your hands with soap and cold water after handling the necklace; Keep out of the reach of children; do not allow children to play with the necklace or suck on it; keep away from drinks, food and feed; Keep the package tightly closed until the moment of use.

Use during pregnancy or lactation:

• No side effects have been observed in pregnant bitches that wore the collar during pregnancy and lactation, nor in puppies from dams treated until weaning.
