Composition by:

Dimpilate (stabilized) 150 mg; components of the excipient csp 100 ml.

Pharmacological properties

The active ingredient in Zooveca is diazinon, an external antiparasitic from the group of organophosphates, which works by inhibiting the parasite's cholinesterase.

Interactions and incompatibilities

• Do not administer with other cholinesterase inhibitors.

• Do not administer with phenothiazine-type CNS depressant drugs.

Indications and target species

Sheep: External parasitism caused by ticks, lice, mites, fly larvae and Melophagus ovinus.

Contraindications

• Do not administer to sick, convalescent, weak, exhausted or thirsty animals.

• Do not feed animals with wounds or open lesions.

• Do not treat animals less than 4 weeks old.

Occasionally skin hypersensitivity reactions may occur.

Route of administration

Topical (bath or spray).

Posology

Ovine:

Bath (for infestations by mites, fly larvae, ticks, lice and Melophagus ovinus):

• Prepare the bath with a solution of 250 mg/l of water (equivalent to 20 ml of Zooveca in 12 liters of water).

• To replace the lost volume, prepare a solution of 750 mg/l of water (equivalent to 60 ml of Zooveca in 12 liters of water).

Spray (for infestations by fly larvae, ticks, lice and Melophagus ovinus):

Spray with a 600 mg/l solution of water (equivalent to 40 ml of Zooveca in 10 liters of water).

• In both cases, the emulsion should be previously prepared in a small amount of water, stirring and then diluting to volume.

Special precautions

• Do not administer to lactating females whose milk is intended for human consumption.

• Avoid repeated or prolonged contact with skin. Do not inhale vapors.

• Wear gloves, rubber boots, suitable clothing, and a mask when handling concentrate, dip, and freshly bathed or sprayed sheep.

• In case of contact with eyes or skin, wash immediately. Wash your face, hands and exposed skin when leaving the workplace.

• Do not smoke, eat or drink during the application of the product. Do not store together with drinks or food.

• Use the product in well-ventilated areas, preferably outdoors.

• Do not eliminate bathing in continental waters or easily flooded land.

• If you suffer from respiratory problems, or if you have persistent discomfort after handling other organophosphates, consult your doctor before using the product.

• The symptoms of poisoning are: Feeling of tiredness and weakness, which may be accompanied by abdominal pain, diarrhea, sweating and excessive salivation for up to 12 hours after exposure.

Severe poisoning causes generalized muscle convulsions.

Wait time

Meat:

– Sheep: 15 days.

Milk: Do not use.
